Most will be aware that we will move down to Alert Level 3 on Tuesday 28th April, allowing preschools to reopen on Wednesday the 29th April with a restricted roll for children of families who will be returning to work.
Our staff are making preparations to ensure that all health and safety guidelines will be followed and children and staff will be as safe as possible when we reopen. These preparations will include children and staff staying home if they are sick, increasing the space per child and reducing contact between groups of children, contact tracing and hygiene requirements. There will also be additional controls around drop off and pickup.
So what will this mean for you? Well firstly please note that authorities are advising that all children who can stay at home should stay at home. Our staff will continue our online program and keep in touch with children and families.
Secondly, we want to help those who need it while keeping all our families and staff safe, so we need to know if there will be a reason to reopen the preschool, and if so what staffing we will need. For this reason we need to know your attendance intentions for your children. To let us know, please fill out the simple feedback form that we have set up for you. This information is required urgently.
Finally, thank you for all of the positive feedback you have been giving our teachers for all of the hard work that they are putting in. They are doing a great job and I am very proud of them all.
In these difficult times I urge you to remember, "We know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose". Romans 8:28
